In the above illustration, the Visitor logs on by typing in a screen name in the "Login Name" field. Then, the subject of their chat session can be typed into the "Questions/ Comment" field. If so configured, the login screen will also have an Email field, in which the Visitor can enter their e-mail address. In addition, the Question/Comment field allows for a brief description to be entered by the Visitor. The following are brief descriptions of the remaining fields in the Logon Screen:

Web Collaboration allows for Customer Service Agents and Visitors to use "Push" technology to display Web pages on each other's browsers, as well as allowing Customer Service Agents to view on-line forms while the Visitor is completing them (Forms Assistant). Web Collaboration works with the Java and ActiveX Clients ONLY.

Java Client can be checked when the Visitor is using a recent browser that supports the viewing of Java applications.

ActiveX Client can be checked if the Visitor wishes to use ActiveX-enabled browsers to chat with a Customer Service Agent.

Internet Call allows for the use of Microsoft NetMeeting to accommodate the use of audio and videoconferencing.
