Internet Call with NetMeeting

Another optional feature some companies may use is the ability to communicate with the Agent through the use of Microsoft NetMeeting. Using this software in tandem with eShare NetAgent, the Visitor can communicate using voice, or video, or both.

If the eShare NetAgent server is configured to accommodate an Internet call, a check box can be placed on the logon screen to inform the Visitor that this option is available.

There are several requirements for this feature to function properly:

     ·      This Visitor must have Microsoft NetMeeting installed and properly configured on their PC.

     ·      The Visitor must have a sound card and a microphone to conference via audio.

     ·      The Visitor must have a camera installed and properly configured to videoconference.

     ·      The Visitor must choose either communicating by using audio or videoconferencing with text chat. In most situations, bandwidth will NOT permit the use of both.

Click the Call button, which will inform the Agent you want to initiate an Internet call. If the Agent accepts, then your Microsoft NetMeeting will open and you will see something like this:
