ActiveX Client

During Visitor Login, the ActiveX Client box can be checked if the Visitor wishes to use ActiveX enabled browsers (instead of HTML or Java enabled browsers) to chat with a Customer Service Agent.

Java and ActiveX are two systems that let people attach computer programs to Web pages. They allow Web pages to be much more dynamic and interactive than they could be using HTML only. ActiveX was developed by Microsoft to allow independent program modules to work together within their Internet Explorer browser (although an ActiveX plug-in is available for Netscape Navigator). ActiveX objects are specialized for the Internet and work very well with eShare NetAgent.
